Ensure that your guests get the good night's sleep they deserve.

After a long day of business or exploring the local area, your guests want to settle in and get the deep, restorative sleep that they deserve.  However, if your hotel is not outfitted properly, then noise and other disturbances can prevent your guests from falling and staying asleep.  Naturally, this will lead to complaints and negative reviews of your property.  But what should hotel owners do to create optimal sleep conditions for their guests?  Here are some of the important steps to take.
  • Adequate Sound Proofing
Oftentimes, hotel guests experience sleep issues because they are disturbed by all the unfamiliar noises around them.  Whether it be noise from neighboring guests, noise coming from hotel common areas, or noise from outside traffic, sound disturbances can be frustrating.  To ensure that all your guests can enjoy a peaceful and quiet night, it's important that you carefully soundproof your guestrooms.  Common soundproofing techniques include installing thicker insulation in hotel room walls, installing double-paned windows in rooms that face the street, and installing carpeting or dampening compounds on guestroom floors.  By employing measures to block out noise, you can improve your guests' chances of having a restful night's sleep.
  • Invest in New VTAC Units
Sometimes, guests struggle with annoying noises inside their own room.  For instance, noisy heating and cooling units can cause guests to lose precious sleep.  If your hotel still uses older units in guestrooms, then it may be time for an upgrade.  Newer heating and cooling units are built to be as quiet and unobtrusive as possible.  Additionally, when you upgrade to a VTAC system, the unit is concealed from guest view, giving your rooms a more modern look.
  • Sound Canceling Amenities
Sometimes, it's simply not possible to block out all the noise that's bothering your guests.  This is why you should consider installing in-room technologies that help guests block out any unwanted sounds.  For instance, including white noise machines in every guest room is a smart way to help guests cancel out noise disturbances with sounds that they find more soothing. These are some of the things that you can do to ensure that your hotel is providing a good sleep environment for your guests.  Need help soundproofing your guestrooms or making other important property upgrades?  If so, then contact Nikki Fox at Parkwest General Contractors at Nikki@ParkwestGC.com.  Our dedicated team is eager to assist you with all your building upgrade and construction needs today.
