Going Green in 2014: Green Building Trends Going Green in 2014: Green Building Trends

Parkwest General Contractors supports green building. 2014 is a year of growth, and with 2014 green building trends on the rise, let us take a look at some of the top 2014 trends.

  • North America & Green Construction - North America's green building is expected to grow in numerous construction projects. Some of these projects range from government buildings to schools and nonprofits.
  • Energy Efficiency - Perhaps one of the largest 2014 trends this year is the ability for all buildings to remain and maintain an energy efficient construction. The main reason behind such trend is the widespread use of cloud-based systems.
  • Third-party Financing - Older buildings are able to upgrade their systems in turn becoming more "green."
  • Adding Modern Construction to Already Green Buildings - This trend has been in place since 2010 and risen ever since. Once again, we can expect to see a hike in this green building trend in 2014.
