Radisson Remodels Metro Area Property
For visitors to the Phoenix area, the start of the New Year brings good news. The Metro Plaza Hotel, located in Northwest Phoenix, was remodeled and recently reopened under new ownership dedicated to creating a great stay for their guests.
The former Metro Plaza Hotel is now managed by the R.A. Rauch & Associates and has been remodeled to be a full-fledged Radisson property. The president of R.A. Rauch & Associates is Bob Rauch, who has a deep familiarity with the Phoenix area. Rauch earned his master's in tourism administration from Arizona State University and still teaches at the University.
Rauch has been waiting for the right time to invest in the Phoenix area, and he and his team project that the hotel market in Phoenix will improve by 10 percent in the next three years. Right now, hotels near the new Radisson have 50 percent occupancy for an average of $90 a night. Now that hotel construction has been finished, the fully remodeled property will be open to guests hoping to be comfortably housed and conveniently located in the Phoenix area.
Construction on the Radisson was scheduled so that the hotel could be ready for the upcoming Super Bowl XLIV, which will be played on February 1st in nearby Glendale, Arizona. This is not the property's first tie to the National Football League; Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, used to use the building's helicopter pad.
