Learn about how Wyndham Hotels & Resorts are revamping their guestrooms to promote rest, comfort, and relaxation.
A recent study outlined the negative effects of disrupting sleep and natural circadian rhythms, usually caused by jet lag. The research indicated that this could lead to issues such as chronic fatigue, insomnia, and even accelerated aging. Looking to combat this sleep disruption, Wyndham is partnering with Delos (an environmental wellness company) and designer Jeffrey Beers to revamp their guestrooms. The new rooms will integrate amenities and features that promote guest wellness, minimize the impact that travel has on the body, and encourage restorative sleep.
These new €œStay Well -rooms will integrate tech that helps improve air quality, dispenses mood-enhancing scents, offers personalized light settings, simulates sunrise, and so on. In addition to these technological innovations, the rooms will also be redesigned in a way that places comfort in the forefront.
The design, handled by Jeffrey Beers, will work with a soothing palette of blues and muted greys and look to balance clean lines and soft curves to create a peaceful, yet still aesthetically appealing room. With the design catered around the bed, the room is designed to highlight comfort and tranquillity.
