Parkwest General Contractors is pleased to be a part of the rebounding construction and renovation that is currently taking place. Downtown Los Angeles is once again home to the sight of cranes and construction equipment, and the sounds of workers improving the area. Parkwest is currently working on a $20 million renovation project on the former Los Angeles Downtown Marriott Hotel. It is currently known as the L.A. Downtown Hotel, which will be joining the Hyatt Regency franchise system. The hotel, located at 333 South Figueroa Street is undergoing extensive renovations to the 469-room facility. Upgrades include improvements to the meeting and ballroom areas, renovations to the restaurants, and lobby upgrades. Each of the guestrooms are receiving makeovers as well. At the end of May the hotel will officially be called The Hyatt Regency Los Angeles Downtown with its almost 300 employees staying on after the name change.
