The future is now, and hotels are embracing it by bringing voice-activated Echo into each of its rooms, allowing guests to use their voice to control the room.

Wynn Las Vegas and Amazon have announced they plan to equip all 4,748 rooms at the Wynn Las Vegas with Amazon Echo, Amazon's hand-free voice-controlled speaker. The integration of this technology into every single guest room will be the world's very first, allowing guests to control various hotel features with a series of voice commands, like the thermostat, lights, TV, etc., via "Alexa", the brain behind Echo.

Steve Wynn, chairman and CEO of Wynn Resorts said, "Technology has always played an important part in our resorts. The thing that Amazon has done with Alexa is quite perfect. . . the ability to talk to your room is effortlessly convenient. "Becoming the first resort in the world in which guests can verbally control every aspect of lighting, temperature, and the audio-visual components of hotel room is another example of our leadership in the world of technology for the benefit of all our guests."

Millions of people already own an Alexa-based piece of technology, and now they will be able to experience this convenience as they travel. Wynn is known for its comfort and luxury, and they are excited to work with the resort to enhance its guest experience with this great piece of hardware.

Alexa is the brain behind Amazon Echo and other Alexa-enabled devices. Simply ask and she will answer questions, read the news, set timers/alarms, play a song, check the score of a game, control devices, and much more! It is like the world of Star Trek is slowly (and finally) merging with our world.
