According to the "Buying and Selling in Today's Marketplace" panel at the Asian American Hotel Owners Association conference regarding hotel ownership, three brokers agreed that today is an excellent time for selling or buying hotels. Experts think the hotel market, with its emphasis on hospitality to clients, will continue to boom for at least four more years before it realizes a new downward trend.
Although buying and selling hotels varies in different parts of the country, people engaged in hotel market strategies can expect to see increased activity in the coming years. The brokers explained that buying hotels is less risky than building hotels. An important factor relies upon whether financing is available.
However, current interest rates permit people to buy and sell hotels without experiencing excessive financial strain. Hotel properties range from Property Improvement Plan, or PIP, types of properties to buildings that are completely finished.
