Unfortunate news to report: The famous House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard has recently closed in West Hollywood. The owner of the legendary establishment, Beverly Hills concert promoter of Live Nation Entertainment, Inc., said that this means nearly 200 employees will be laid off. This includes servers, bartenders, bussers, sales people, cooks, stage hands, security, directors, and managers. While some employees will be offered the opportunity to work at another Live Nation facility, the majority will need to search for employment elsewhere.
Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. has announced that they will be looking for another venue to continue the magic that took place over the years at their Sunset Boulevard location. They also announced that they will be trying to help employees find work elsewhere, if not at one of their own establishments.
Rumor on the street is that the once House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard will become a mixed-use condo, hotel, and entertainment facility, providing enhanced convenience for those in the area. However, this news will still bring sorrow to many, as this hot spot was the home of many events, artists, bands, legends, and a lifetime of memories.
