Thailand draws properties from US-based Red Roof Inn.
Despite the long flight there for many of its visitors, Thailand is one of the world's top tourist destinations. In fact, it's known as a universal market free of low seasons, and its year-round appeal helps tourism contribute to 9 percent of the country's GDP.
To capitalize on the opportunities in Thailand, United States-based Red Roof Inn is further expanding their global properties by partnering with Thailand-based Paragon Hotels Limited.
Red Roof and Paragon Hotels will be targeting upscale economy travelers through their series of new-build hotels across Thailand. Ground will be broken on the first property in 2016 and construction on the hotels will continue to 2020. The concept of the builds will pull from Red Roof's NextGen model, which leans on modern design and technology integration.
Paragon Hotels has decided to partner with Red Roof because they believe they can do for Thailand what they've done in the States: partner a quality, comfortable lodging option with an affordable price tag.
The Red Roofs of Thailand will aim to pull both business and leisure travelers from Thailand itself and across the globe. The ultimate goal it to continue to expand the Red Roof/Paragon Hotels properties across Asia with hotels in Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, and more.
