The AAHOA recently recognized three members of Congress with the “Friend of the Hotelier Award” at the National Advocacy Conference (NAC). The National Advocacy Conference took place on March 4th through March 6th at the Grand Hyatt Washington in Washington, D.C.

This honor is awarded to public officials and community leaders demonstrating persistent support of issues affecting small business owners, and who promote the hospitality industry.

Congressmen Mick Mulvaney was among the recipients of the honorary award for being a leading advocate for a variety of the issues the AAHOA supports. His real estate and restaurant experience has made him an especially important part of the industry. He is noted for standing up for small business owners and supporting the issues they face on a daily basis.
