Today, the number of electric car owners is increasing at an impressive rate.  In an effort to appeal to these drivers, hotels are looking to offer charger stations.  However, choosing and installing a charging unit is easier said than done.  Here are some of the factors that hotels need to consider.

When choosing a charging unit, hotels have the opportunity to partner with specific electric car brands, such as Tesla.  When going with a specific car company, these chargers tend to only work with that company's models.  Hotels can also go with a brand that offers charging stations compatible with all other EVs on the market.  If you have the budget, then you can partner with specific car companies as well as general electric companies to provide charging opportunities for all types of EVs on the road.

The next thing that you will have to decide is who should pay for what and how much.  For instance, some hotels simply provide a space for the chargers, and the partner provides the actual unit.  In this case, the electric company usually gets the revenue from charging vehicles.  On the other hand, the hotel and partner can also share revenue.  Finally, hotels can choose to simply purchase the units and decide what they want to charge guests to use the devices.
